The members of the Lions Club Ploieşti also organized this year the seventh consecutive edition of the Magic Christmas charity concert on Monday, December 17, 2018, with the support of the Paul Constantinescu Philharmonic, in Ploieşti.
The concert was supported by the Ploiesti Jazz Trio by Paul Constantinescu Philharmonic.
The funds collected during the event were used to award the children participating in the 2017-2018 school year at the larger lots for the International Olympiades, along with their teachers, in Prahova County.
Nine students from MihaI Viteazul college, Ion Luca Caragiale college from Ploiesti, Nicolae Grigorescu college in Câmpina, Mihail Cantacuzino college from Sinaia, Nicolae Iorga college from Vălenii de Munte and nine teachers were awarded. All these youngsters honored Prahova County at the larger lots of the International Olympiades of Informatics, Linguistics, Reading as Life Skills, Romanian Language and Literature, Biology, Neo-Gothic.
The concert was attended by representatives of the County School Inspectorate, the pupils awarded with parents and teachers.
In the spirit of the Lion's Movement, Lions Club Ploiesti encourages pupils' performance, which is a real support in the development of strong principles within society.
