At the initiative of the World Heart Federation and under the patronage of the World Health Organization and UNESCO, September 29 is World Heart Day, which is why in September, Lions clubs across the country are promoting the movement.
Thus, on September 22, 2018, starting with 10.2000, Lions Club Ploiesti organized together with assocition Un strop de fericire the second edition of LION HEART cross in the park of Olimpia Sports Hall, Ploiesti. This event was attended by children together with teachers from the St. Vasile School and the Mihai Viteazul Ploiesti College, as well as volunteers from that schools.
The cross-tour was aimed at children from 7th and 8th class, who love moving and was aimed at promoting physical activity in order to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
The children ran 1,000 m, girls and boys. At the end, prizes, mentions and diplomas were awarded.
