Dignity Children's Week celebrated in Ploiesti by Lions Club members

Thursday, September 3, 2015, members of Lions Club Ploiesti visited children at Alexandra House in Ploiesti, in Children's Dignity Week, celebrated in the Lions Clubs International during the period August 30 to September 5.

Lions around the globe are involved in this week to develop actions and projects that serve the child, trying to provide a bright future of these wonderful children, but so helpless.

The actions have the forefront disadvantaged children, whose life is not easy and at which the sun raises less, despite their contagious smile and test for life that encounter difficulties.

Alexandra House is owned by Concordia Foundation and has 36 places for children, including gypsies, in the slums of Ploiesti. The center provides a hot meal, type educational programs for children after school, assistance in finding employment for families, health information, counseling and support for access to public services.

Members of Lions Club Ploiesti went to 36 children with backpacks and school supplies for the school year, not catch them unprepared. Children greeted with a show well done, interactive games and a lots of smiles and hugs of the most sincere.

If we learn to respect the rights of children, the world will catch their respect and their way of life will be full color and will help them to become responsible adults, pride for the society.


Lions Clubs International is the largest humanitarian service organization in the world, made up of people with a recognized moral and social position, able to improve the fate of the poor, united by friendship and animated by the desire to serve.
